We currently have an opening for a Technical Writer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is an intermediate level position performing a variety of moderately complex tasks to support engineers. Creates updates, maintains, and improves various engineering, manufacturing, and lighting documentation. Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation. Creates graphs, charts, schematics, and two and three-dimensional drawings for use in technical reports for a variety of technical documents. Proofreads and edits a variety of documents for accurate use of grammar and content. May create BOMs and Item Masters. May write Engineering Change Orders. May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Four-year degree
• Three years of technical writing experience
• Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with various personal computer tools

PREFERRED:

• Industry standard familiarity strongly preferred: ASD STE-100 (AECMA Simplified Technical English), ATA 100, ATA iSpec 2200, TPSMG S1000D.
